ABOUT THE GARNAIS
Whitney Garnai, originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, received her M. Ed. in Special Education (K-12) from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 2017. Whitney is also a Graduate of Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated Magna Cum Lade with her Undergraduate Degree (Bachelors of Arts) in Interdisciplinary Studies, with minors in both Law and Sociology. Additionally, having spent the first four years of her Teaching Career in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, she is entering her fifth year of teaching. She will be teaching at Roosevelt Middle School within Oklahoma City Public Schools. Furthermore, she will be teaching Special Education Resource English Language Arts (ELA) to 5th and 6th graders identified as having reading disabilities. As an Educator, Whitney's areas of expertise include the following: Special Education, Gifted and Talented Education, Educational Psychology, Reading, Math, English Language Arts, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Behavior Modification, ESL, beginning level Spanish, and Educational Policy Law.
Originally from Moore, Oklahoma, Lesley recently graduated with his M.Ed. in Special Education in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 2021. He is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (2012) with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science. Additionally, while serving on Active Duty with the Navy for the past seven years as an AEGIS Weapons System Technician, Lesley completed his M.Ed. Along with his Graduate Certificate in Autism in 2021, and is currently pursuing his Post-Graduate studies at Regent University online in Educational Leadership. He is expected to graduate with his Ed.S. in Educational Leadership in August of 2023. During the 2020 COVID Pandemic, he taught virtual Elementary School for Churchland Academy Elementary, located within Portsmouth Public Schools. Also, he is entering his second year of teaching, pending his separation from the Navy (Expected October 2021), and will relocate to Norman at that time. Finally, Lesley's expertise includes the following area: Special Education (K-12), Behavior Modification, Math, Science, and beginning level German.
